Tanzania is a must for every Africa lover! It's one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa. Tanzania also holds the crown to being one of the best wildlife viewing destinations in the world! Be prepared to see a variety animals from lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and more! On the horizon you can also view the breathtaking silhouette of Kilimanjaro if you're up for a hike, and just off the coast the beaches and heavily influenced Arabian-infused culture of Zanzibar.

On this tour we'll explore Stone Tone and Prison Island, go on a 3-day safari to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater to see various animals, engage with the Maasai people, and take in the beauty of a white sandy beach and the turquoise waters of the Indian ocean.   • The first 2 nights, we'll be staying at a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the enchanting UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stone Town. 

  • The next 4 nights will be spent in Arusha and will simply leave you speechless. Be prepared to stay in a luxury replica of a Maasai village. You'll have the opportunity to experience the sunrise behind Kilimanjaro in the midst of the African nature and interacting with the Maasai. 

  • The last 2 nights will be spent in a luxury beach front hotel with palm trees on every corner.

We require a $550 USD deposit at booking and can then create a payment plan that works for you. Payment plans for this trip can be broken up to 12 payments depending on how many months until the start of our trip. Please note that your balance must be paid off one month prior to the trip start date.

Sample Trip Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrivals in Zanzibar

Yay, you've made it to Zanzibar! You will be picked up from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport by our private driver and dropped off at our accommodation. You will have the day to relax before we go to our welcome dinner in the evening. 

*Please plan to land by 3:00 pm*

Day 2: Exploring Stone Town and Prison Island

Today we'll be exploring the historic Stone Town. Our knowledgable guide will take us through the main city market which was opened in 1904. We'll admire the beautiful architecture such as it's sand and stone ancient built houses which have Arab/Indian influence. We'll also visit the home of the late Freddy Mercury, lead singer of Queen. Other sites also include the Old Slave Market, and much more. After exploring Stone Town, we'll head to lunch before heading to Prison Island. Prison Island is also known as Changgu Island, a nickname that came from the island being used by some sultans of Zanzibar to detain enslaved people. While on the island, you can swim, snorkel and take pictures with giant tortoises. You will have the chance to witness a colorful schools of black snappers, orange lined triggerfish and much more!

Day 3: From Zanzibar to Arusha

We hope you've enjoyed Stone Town because now we're headed to Arusha. We'll go to the Zanzibar airport where we'll board the plane to head to Arusha. After we arrive in Arusha, we'll be picked up by our private driver and taken to our new accommodation. After we check-in and get settled, we'll let the local Maasai women introduce us to their craft. In the shade of an acacia tree, the Massai will teach us how to make jewelry. During a friendly conversation, you will also have the opportunity to learn about women's lives.

Day 4: Safari to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we'll drive to Serengeti National Park where we'll spend 2-nights. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Maasai and you will see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. We'll also see bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. Be prepared to see an abundance of animals from the Big Five - lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos to giraffes, gazelles, impalas, and more!

Day 5: More of Serengeti

Serengeti is so big that we had to spend another day here! After breakfast, we'll set back out to spot more animals, so get your camera back out! While exploring Serengeti, we'll have lunch and continue our safari. Winding down the day, we'll head back to our campsite where you'll have time to relax, have dinner, and prepare for our next safari tomorrow.

Day 6: Safari to Ngorongoro Crater 

Are you ready to see more wildlife? We are! After breakfast, we're headed to Ngorongoro Crater. As  soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, the caldera opens up before you. Over 25,000 animals live in this approximately 20 km wide
crater! During our safari, we'll have lunch and then set back out. As the day starts to end, we'll head back to our new campsite for dinner.

Day 7: Learning how the Massai Live

We're back in Arusha after our 2-day safari! It's time to learn about the culture of the Maasai. The Maasai are such friendly people and they're inviting us into their boma! A boma consists of several houses made of natural materials that are built in a circle to fence the cattle. Visiting a boma will give you the opportunity to see how the Maasai live. Our hosts will also explain their traditions and customs.

Included: Breakfast, group ground transport back to Arusha, Maasai visit fees, lunch, dinner

Day 8: Return back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, we'll head back to the airport to go back to Zanzibar and check into our last accommodation until departures. Today is yours to enjoy! You can spend the day at the beach or participate in a different activity that we can assist you with. Later in the evening, we will go to our welcome dinner.

Day 9: Departures

We hope you've enjoyed your time in Tanzania because it's time to say goodbye. We have arranged your transportation from our accommodation to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
